The appointments follow robust demand for NAV finance and the continued expansion of 17Capital’s North America-based team
17Capital, the global go-to source of strategic financing for investors in private equity, is pleased to announce the appointments of Daniel Kettner as Director, Consultant Relations, and Caroline Kim as Director, Client Services, North America. As members of 17Capital’s Investor Relations team, Daniel and Caroline are based in New York and report to Drew Fox, Head of Investor Relations and Fundraising, North America. In their respective roles, they will support 17Capital’s consultant and client relations operations and help grow the firm’s investment capital base.
Pierre-Antoine de Selancy, Managing Partner at 17Capital, said: We are pleased to welcome Daniel and Caroline to 17Capital, whose appointments further strengthen 17Capital’s client capabilities at a time when we are seeing record demand for our NAV finance offerings. As key senior members of the team, they will play an important role in deepening our relationships with top LPs and their advisors. By further strengthening our investor relations infrastructure and expertise, we can continue to deliver a first-class investment experience to our global LP base.
Given the breadth of 17Capital investors who work with investment consultants to access NAV finance and other alternative products, Daniel will focus on developing consultant relationships across North America and leading the build-out of 17Capital’s global consultant relations practice. He brings more than 21 years of experience across consultant relations, client services, relationship management, product specialism and investor relations. Daniel joins from Hamilton Lane, where as a Principal he led and was responsible for coordinating consultant coverage and developing relationships with global, regional and specialized consulting firms.
Caroline will focus on client services in North America, a region where 17Capital has seen significant growth amid the wider adoption of NAV finance. Caroline brings 20 years of experience, over 10 years being focused on client service and investor relations. Caroline joins 17Capital from Brevet Capital, where she was a Director, overseeing and building out the Investor Relations Client Service team.
Daniel said: I am excited to join the 17Capital team at such a pivotal moment for NAV finance, and look forward to broadening investment consultant knowledge of and exposure to the asset class. As limited partners seek to diversify their private credit allocations and general partners look to drive growth and enhance liquidity, I am eager to raise awareness for 17Capital’s NAV financing solutions across this key consultant constituency and help capture the growth opportunities ahead.
Caroline added: I look forward to working in this newly created role and delivering a more personalized and exceptional client service experience for 17Capital’s investors. I admire the longstanding relationships the firm has cultivated with best-in-class global GPs and LPs since its inception 15 years ago, and I am excited to help the team serve them to the highest standard as our asset class matures.
The appointments of Daniel and Caroline follow 17Capital’s ongoing expansion of its senior team across the Americas and Europe over the past year. The firm promoted 17 employees between January 2022 and September 2023 and hired Alejandro Hernandez as Head of Investor Relations in Canada and Latin America. 17Capital also recently added key senior hires to its New York office, including Dane Graham as Managing Director, Investments, and Drew Fox as Head of Investor Relations & Fundraising in North America.
